This month we’re focusing on Health & Wellness in Barbados, particularly how technology is being used to improve health outcomes.

The opening of Bayview Hospital Urgent Care now offers private emergency facilities, introducing new equipment and technology to Barbados along with a level two ICU. At UWI, scientists in the Centre for Biosecurity Studies are developing new technology to tackle mosquito-borne diseases.

And we introduce two international doctors bringing their expertise and services to Barbados – Dr Nadia Manna, Aesthetic Medicine Doctor and Medical Director at Manna Advanced Aesthetics, who shares her thoughts on Barbados as a health tourism destination, and Dr Giovanni Ferrando, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, who talks about falling in love with Barbados, and the services he offers to Barbadian and international patients.
