Celebrating 25 Years Flying to Barbados

Last week Virgin Atlantic celebrated 25 years of flying to Barbados. Week long celebrations included a breakfast event with the Barbados business community hosted by Virgin Atlantic's Chief Commercial Officer Juha Jarvinen and Country Manager for the Caribbean, Hannah Swift. There was also a surprise visit from Virgin Atlantic's owner Sir Richard Branson who met with Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and the BTMI Chairman Shelly Williams at the Grantly Adams International Airport.

Juha Jarvinen emphasised the importance of Barbados for Virgin Atlantic saying:

"We do believe that Bridgetown can act as a regional hub for us. That is the reason why we are now selling these local sectors between Barbados and Grenada, and Barbados and St Vincent as a first step. It is to really build that local connectivity option.”
